Postcrossing celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. I joined this… community? movement? phenomenon?… around 2018 and was very active for the next three or four years. Then - partly due to Covid but mainly because of various interconnected personal and public factors (such as the Russian war against Ukraine, for example) - I gradually phased out. I still keep in touch with some people I met through Postcrossing and occasionally find new swapping opportunities for my 'art mirrors' project, but those have become increasingly rare. I’m glad to see that many people still find it worthwhile and rewarding, though my own feelings are on pause for now. Still - long live Postcrossing!
